Difference between 87 and 88

Can someone point out the differences between three platforms for me. Reason behind this is that I need to purchase and shop service manual and the 1987 does not directly reference the L98 whereas the 1988 does. So I ask, what are the differences between the 1987 305cid TPI, the 1987 350cid TPI and the 1988 350cid TPI? Thank you for the help in choosing which book it for value for my application.
