Hey guys,
I know this would typically go in Members Camaros, but I figured since this car was on the "rare" list, it might get some interest over here
I purchased this from forum member racn1le who is an all around great guy, and took great car of this car. There was tons of documentation to go along with it, including information regarding its build week of Dec 18, 1989, 1 of 6 painted black, #25 of 28 built, etc. I also have the original window sticker and bill of sale.
As you can see from the SPID, it has the DX3 decal delete. It has a pretty good repaint from a few years ago, and all replacement parts have been OEM/spec, so it is essentially "unmolested".

A friend of mine has 1 of the 28 also. It's bright red with 10,000 miles and still in mint shape.

Question for you...
Your statement that it is #25 of 28... There was a total of 62 1LE Camaros in 1990... Is the 28 number the 1LE L98 cars...
Where does that information come from?

I have an old article from a camaro club years ago.It showed every 1990 1LE and what dealer they went to.I have spoke with a retired sales manager who still has around 10 original sales documents for the 1990 he sold from his dealership in the midwest. If anyone who owns a 90 1LE would like to find out if he has original paperwork for there car I can check for you.
By the way great looking 1LE!

Since you posted a copy of the letter I'll comment on it. I don't mean to be negative, so please don't take it that way. Just an observation; There is no Notary stamp next to the Notary Public's name. Also, the notary signature seemingly gives the impression that the information is somehow verified, it is not. The notary only confirms that the signer of the letter is who he says he is, nothing more. Beautiful car by the way.

You're correct, a notary doesn't verify that the info is accurate, only that the person who they are witnessing sign the letter is who they say they are. Seems like a lot of efforts to go through to certify inaccurate information Given the date of the letter, I really don't see anything that could possibly be misrepresented.

Texas and no air conditioning in a non-tinted, black, solid roof car.....You're a brave person.
However, the car looks great. I never grow tired of seeing a nicely taken care of 3rd gen.

I found an article in Motor Trend that has the story of the 1LEs comparing the burial of the 1LE RPO code to those of the 1960s specifically the ZL1. I sent it in to JT but he has yet to post it up. For a second I thought this car might have been the same one from the Magazine but I just looked at the article again and I saw the Iroc-Z decals on the door which this one doesn't have. So obviously its a different one. I also sent in a whole host of more articles including the Firehawk and Firefox to JT as well....I assume hes working on posting those up for all to enjoy. Sweet car by the way.

WOW!! That looks Amazing!!
I have never really noticed to my knowledge a black IROC with out any stripes or decals and damn does that look good.
I think you car alone has convinced me to not put the stripes and decals back on my car (even though it has been 3 years).

Thanks guys. The car is a blast to drive, and always gets plenty of waves and thumbs-up whenever I take it out.
On a sadder note, I may have to offer it up to a new home soon due to finances

Man, am sorry to hear that, it's rare and will be worth alot someday. Hang on to that car anyway you can. Take that from someone who owned a rare TA Challenger back in the 70's and sold it when things got hard. I hope you can work something out, I wish I would of!!!

I have a 1990 1LE (350) with 10,000 miles. Absolutely perfect. I bought it last year from a collector in North Carolina. Any additional paperwork (although I think I have it all) would be GREAT! Thanks!!
