It was a great time and we were successful in the IMSA Firehawk series and SCCA series. We even had Tom Goad, Dougie's father driving for a while. I own two of the four 1988 IROC 1LE’s. Both are original and fully documented. Both are 350 CI Auto and have Fog Lights.
The Red one was originally owned by Delco and has 14K miles with Radio. The Black one has 2500 mi and is Radio Delete.
If I can figure out how, I will post Pics.
I also own a 1969 Dick Harrell COPO 427, a 1971 Baldwin Motion Phase III 454 and various other rare Camaro’s.

Even with radio delete they still installed an antenna...

I would guess that all the fenders had the antenna hole, so they had to fill it with something.......antennas were readily available.

Yes would have been very rare to have that particular panel without the hole on the production line.

IIRC, GM has a plastic part to fit in/over the antenna hole. Or maybe my memory is failing but I'm sure i've seen it in the parts book somewhere..

Re: 1988 1LE Camaro's

My UL5 Radio Delete ordered 1987 IROC came with the antenna in the fender and the wiring harness for the speakers intact. It did not however have the holes cut in the side panels in the back that are covered by the fabric fill panels. Although my original dash mounted block off plate is long gone, I have another one that will be going in.
