I have a yellow 1985 Iroc-Z that's been repainted, and the door decals are gone. Is there an RPO code to determine the color of the IROC decals? The Z28 emblems on the lower front rockers are sliver, and the rims have gray metallic painted insets. I'm assuming the decals would be silver?

I would almost think black, silver seems like it would be hard to see on yellow. Theres a picture of a yellow 85 on this page, and the door decals look black:

This isn't at all the end all to this discussion, but it's been my observation that the door decal color is the same as the painted wheel inserts.

Unless the wheels have been swapped, etc., etc......

I would think there is a RPO code for it. . . might wanna try and decipher your RPO codes in your center console.

Look on your RPO label, you should find code 86A. This was the silver/black stripe code for the '85-'87 IROC. The door decals were silver also.

I've also observed that the door decal and wheel insert color matches the color (un-black) portion of the stripe decal.

Thanks for the input, I'll check for that RPO code... I had a friend come by my shop where I'm working on the car, he said "that's no Iroc". Really. I told him it's absolutely an Iroc-Z!!! Had to spout off the 'B4Z' code to him... he's a F**d guy and didn't understand! I do know that code.
