Transmission: 700r4 w/ custom shift kit
Engine restoration

I'm cleaning out my engine bay and i dont know what to use to get all the gunk off the tpi plenum...is anything out there strong enough?

Simple Green does do a great job. Let it soak in and use a soft brush if needed. When hosing off the engine, do not apply a high pressure. Simple Green will strip any polish or waxes from the painted surfaces. Lightly mist it or run a hose without a nozzle. Good luck.
