Re: Has anyone seen a Firehawk
lol no one cares about 4th gen firehawks.
wow in those pics above you can really tell a striking difference between the "Mandatory Red" on the Firehawk and the "Bright Red" (im assuming thats the color) on the 1993 Camaro. the mandatory red looks much brighter and more vibrant. that is a color im going to have to go with when i repaint my future project car. does anyone know how i could get that color reproduced? is that color brighter than "Torch Red" you find on vettes?

I personally dont really care for the 4th gen Firehawks, I saw a 4th gen firehawk once though. Never a 3rd gen though, I love to see one someday.

No, the doctor sold it a few years back. T-Ram was practically given away to someone else. I'm trying to snag it but am not having any luck as the owner won't turn it loose....

Not right now. I miss #003 dearly, I still keep the CA DMV registration on my wall, lol.
I have allot going on and buying a house right now is priority over a Firehawk again.
Have you dynoed the race car? What are the specs like camshaft, flow #'s on the heads, valves, etc?

Understand about priorities....Real estate is aways a better investment vs cars!
Haven't dynoed the race car and probably won't because it seems very well tuned.
I do know #26 is very strong but the race car makes it feel like a 4 cylinder Honda. I'd guess close to 450+ at the rear wheels. I've owned several cars that were putting close to 400 at the rear wheels and this is by far the fastest one.

Re: Has anyone seen a Firehawk
I was offered a race car back in 2000 for $17,000... I thought about it but it came down to the particular car did not have a VIN so I would not have been able to drive it. I think it would have been interesting to own however, I guess all in all I might have been able to get around it with the DMV but I was not that ambitious at the time... It would have been cheeper than what I have invested in my 87 though.

Re: Has anyone seen a Firehawk
Yeah he was asking $15K for the race car when I spoke to him last. He had it for sale for a couple years and just couldn't get rid of it. Not allot of people can respect what it is. I'm glad it was picked up by someone and is now in a good home with other 'Hawks.

Re: Has anyone seen a Firehawk
With that kind of power I would have been really tempted to remove the drivetrain and install it into my 87 Formula... But that would have negated the purchase of such a special car...

If I got the whole car I should have all the right pieces... I would have not used the Roll cage...

Re: Has anyone seen a Firehawk
I could see myself owning one of the Firehawk race cars as I live near a very nice track (Thunderhill Park). I would love to take it out on open track days (non-racing) and I'm sure some race groups I know and am in would love to see one of these as their pace car.
So, if you want to sell yours be sure and contact me.

I saw a red Firehawk at the Autorama car show in Dallas a few years ago but did not get to see what #. Mini Me was signing autographs about a 100 ft. from it so it was hard to get to. Have not seen it there again...wish I had found out more about it then.

Re: Has anyone seen a Firehawk
Wow, now thats sexy. First time I've seen a 3rd gen hawk. It actually looks good. I was expecting something as ugly as the rest of the 3rd gen birds and t/a's. (No offense to you proud pontiac owners!)
After further review I see that all the 90-92 birds looked like that. I guess its just the earlier ones that are butt ugly. Cheers!

I've always liked the 3rd gen Firehawks. 6 speed and 3.54 just sounds like too much fun. My only pet peeve with them is that you couldn't get a leather interior.

Re: Has anyone seen a Firehawk
not quite. I'd say the majority of dealers carried Trans Ams/Z28s that were loaded to the hilt with every single option---you could get into an LT1 car for around 27K CDN--might have to order it though
