Car: Yes
Engine: Usually
Transmission: Sometimes
Axle/Gears: Behind me somewhere
Not possible to get info on the combo; but there were 20some thousand L69 Z28s in 84. Probably 5-6000 or so were 5-speeds I'd guess.

Nice car, best of its day, but not "rare", whatever that is or what it means.

Like Sofakingdom stated GM didn't really break down exact combos. There were just over 100K Z28's produced in '84,of those 52K came with the L69 option(auto & manual). But the numbers don't give the break as to how many 5-speed manuals were L69/5-speed or LG4/5-speed.And it gets even more muddled when you figure you could get a Berlinetta LG4/5-speed.

I agree it's a very nice combo.Chevrolet(and Pontiac)woke up in mid '83 to offer something that could give the 5.0/5-speed Mustangs a run in a straight line(they already had them very well covered in handling).I would have loved it if they would have offered a CFI/5-speed(but an injected/manual F-body had to wait a few years).
