pics of my resto project!
I have never posted pics of my project car so I decided to show everybody a few pics of what I have been working on. This is my 1989 Formula 350 that I rescued from the grave. It has no rust and is an 84,000 original mile car. I have been working on the exterior and have installed a ram air2 hood (needs adjustment), and a 4th generation spoiler on the back in place of the 50 pound rotted peice of rubber. The car is going to the shop very soon to have the full exhaust replaced and engine completely gone through so I can get this thing back on the road. I hope to get the car painted very soon after that along with some 17" inch tourqe thrust wheels to make it look like a respectible thirdgen. Its a bottomless money pit so far but I didn't want to see another one die. Tell me what you guys think. Thanks for looking

Looks like it's coming along pretty good. The engine is very clean. I love that hood too. Will it be functional? Mine has been a money pit too, but it should be worth it in the end.

thanks. I love the ram air hood and it was well worth the money because I have never seen another one. I'm not sure if I will get a ram air box to make it fuctionable, or a cold air but I will be upgrading.

Your formula is a great starting point.. low mileage, l98, ws6 suspension..
just make sure when it goes to paint that the body guy does a good job with your front end gaps; that doesnt look like it needs adjustment as much as it needs massaging..
Oh, what happened to the original 16x8's? looks like you've got base wheels on it.. doesn't matter if you'll be replacing those tho. best of luck!

yeah I wasn't the happiest with the way it fit and it does need quite alot of massaging. I have no clue what happened to the 16x8 wheels because this is the way I got the car. The wheels are in excellent condition and the tires are brand new though

I feel your pain. Im doing a resto/mod myself. And pretty much like you, im doing mine from the ground up. Patience has been something I have had to learn with this particular car. So many parts, a ton of money and research.
Its gonna be a front cover type car when Im finished though
