Hi, i am in process of buying a 91 z28. I checked it today and it ran like a champ.
It has a 305TPI with a t5.
The tranny shifts, but there were times where i tried shifting and it won't go into any gear. Than it would work again. I am really not sure where to post this, so please bare with me.
First of all, it has 150k, but runs and sounds really good. For a stock car it sounds magnificent. It sounded a lot deeper than my 2 5/8th inch gutted with headers exhaust.
So, the lady wants 2000 obo for it. I am soo close to buying it.
It has few problems though. Cracked windshield, no side mirror or rear view mirror, the hatch does not close (the plastic housing broke), the fender is different along with the GFX and the hood.
The funny thing is that the hood has 5.7L sticker (vin says F).

Her boyfriend is a mechanic and he told me that its the syncros, and he said that for 150 he can put in a new tranny for me (just the work) I need to find the tranny, or one of his buddies can get one for 200 bucks (used ofcorse). I have done transmissions before and its a relatively easy job, but have nowhere to do it. Plus you really need some help with a tranny. Anyways I just wanted some opininons if I should get this or not, and what do you think about this year Camaro.

The body is in great shape, the frame is straight I checked all of that.
