Car: 1984 Firebird S/E
Engine: 350 V8, 4 barrel carb
Transmission: 700 R4 automatic overdrive
Wentzville, MO assembly plant????
My son just bought a 1992 Firebird Formula with the L03 TBI engine. Upon running the VIN number, it came back that this car was built in the Wentzville, MO assembly plant?!? I've never heard of an F body car being assembled in this plant. Has anyone else heard of this plant producing Fbodies?

You can find the Plant code in the 11th digit, for all 3rd gens from 1988 thru 1992 the code was "L". Van Nuys California was the only plant to make 3rd gens in 1992. The 1993 model year (4th gen) moved production to St Threse Quebeq Canada in 1992 however.
The Wentsville MO code is a "1" and may have been written wrong, check your vin again.

Thanks Okfoz for the reply. A recheck on the VIN number shows we copied the number down. You were correct that this Bird was made in the Van Nuys plant. Thanks for the correction!
