Production numbers please....
Could anyone please tell me how many Heritage Edition RS Convertibles were made? I have read a couple posts about how many Heritage Edition models total and have also found the production numbers for RS convertibles but it would be great to find out just how many RS Covertibles came with the Heritage Package

That's interesting that GM didn't track the instances of which models received the Heritage Package. It's my understanding that it was an option that buyers could request right? Also halfway through the year GM added the Heritage Package option for the Purple Haze & Teal colors as well. Did all Camaros receive the Heritage Package from the Van Nuys plant? If not then maybe there would be a way to track which models received the package from that plant?

Chevrolet has never kept track of option combinations, only individual options. So there will never be a conclusive number of any car with xxx and yyy options.
Yes, you would think Chevy should have kept records of "major" options, such as the Heritage Appearance Package in combination with all variants in 1992, i.e. Z28, Z28 convertible, RS and RS convertibles, but they didn't.
Another case in point: 1987 (my year). How many Z28 convertibles were built that year? It's rather a basic question, not specific such as how many were built with AC and t-tops. Unfortunately, we will never know. Why? Because the convertible was an option (RPO Z08). The IROC-Z handling/appearance package was also an option (RPO B4Z) on the Z28. This is considered an option combination -- no specific count of how many produced. So if we don't know how many IROC-Z convertibles were produced, we also don't know how many Z28 convertibles hit the streets either. It's a shame because most Z28 convertibles in 1987 had the IROC-Z option. Mine does not. Considering that only 744 (sum total of Z28's and IROC-Z's) "20th Anniversary Commemorative Edition" Z28 convertibles were produced, it's a crying shame that production figures for each were never recorded.

"Did all Camaros receive the Heritage Package from the Van Nuys plant?"
Thirdgen fbodies were built both at Norwood and Van Nuys until 88 when the Norwood plant closed. Every fbody from 88-92 subsequently came from Van Nuys. Also, every 92 Camaro carried a badge on the dash indicating the 25th anniversary, but only the Z03 cars had the stripes and badging neccessary to qualify as a Heritage Package car.
Hope that adds some clarity fo everyone.

You could always get a good guess out of some number crunching... take the total number of convertables and divide it by the total number of camaros (all convertable models). This will give you a ratio indicating consumer trends (really company guesses). Take that number you got and multiply it by the number of heritage edition RS's and you should have a good estimate.
