FYI, 1987-92 Canadian GTA Production Figures....
I know some folks have posted here about the final numbers from Canada regarding GTAs sold "north of the border". The GTA Source Page is in the process of awarding one documentation kit to one Canadian owner from each year of GTA production in order to find out the total number of GTAs sold in Canada for 1987-1992.
Yesterday, I received the last kit and the last official model year number from the Vintage Services division of GM/Canada, so here are the totals:
1987 -- 1,509 cars
1988 -- 1,261 cars
1989 -- 952 cars
1990 -- 259 cars
1991 -- 483 cars
1992 -- 48 cars
There are no breakdowns that I have as far as options, etc..... just the total number sold in Canada for each year.
It seems that the number of cars shipped to Canada seemed to mirror the numbers of sales here in the US over the years.... i.e., high at first, and then lower as the years progressed.

So now since those were purpose built export cars, are those numbers in addition to or included in the production figures from PHS?? Like for 92, are those 48 in addition to the 226/508 or are they included in that number?

No, the PHS numbers are for cars built for sale in the US only.... so these numbers account for cars produced in addition to those verified by PHS. I was specifically told that PHS's figures did not include neither Canadian nor export GTAs.
For example, in 1992:
226 (US) + 48 (Canada) = 274 GTAs .... this new number being the amount built for sale on the North American continent.
These new totals affect the total number of GTAs built for each year, but not the individual US totals. The number of "export" GTAs would also add to the total number of cars produced.... if we knew how to determine that figure.

Cool, I wish we could find out the total number of GTA's produced worldwide! I don't see why Pontiac wouldn't have kept track of ALL the GTA's produced and then just sperated their figures into export/domestic production numbers 
I'll have to update my production numbers so that it's clear that they are U.S. production ONLY.
