Retry any of the RPO's that have letters that appear like numbers, ie O vs 0, 8 vs B, etc... For the rest, try your local GM dealer, or *** forbid, a book.

I think 6K8 may be 6KR or 6XS which should be the front left spring.
7KR (maybe 7XS?) should be your right front spring
8PJ should be your left rear spring
9PJ should be your right rear spring

My springs are 6XS, 7XS, 8PJ, and 9PJ on my '86 sport coupe.

I have PO6 listed as the brushed aluminum wheel trim ring, but for the life of me can't figure out where I got that, so don't quote it, just note it as a possibility.

I've been unable to locate B9K or YT9 which I also have.

I would have to say that they might have something to do with your car being Canadian and being a public service vehicle.

Yeah, I thought that was pretty interesting, too.

Wouldn't you like to work for the gov't and be able to order a fully loaded V8 Camaro, with T-tops even, and use it for work?

The rumours are true--the gov't IS out of control!

Which rpo codes were you referring to specifically?

Edit - oops, this is Blue502. Forgot to switch user names.

Hey 502,

These two give it away:

Z49 : EXPORT, CANADIAN MODIF MANDATORY BASE EOUIP
1A2 : SEO VEHICLE, PUBLIC SERVICE

We've got as many, if not more, gov't spending horror stories in Canada as you folks do in the US

I was trying to figure out which codes you meant, as I have some of the same undecoded ones, and my car has only been in Canada on a couple of occasions when I happened to drive it up there

What? You live in Oregon and you've only been to Canada twice? Shame on you :P

Seriously, you should try the Vancouver to Calgary route on the Number One highway, the Trans Canada. It is drop dead gorgeous going through BC and Alberta, the mountains, the lakes, the rivers. Of course you've got all that in Oregon, too, but the Canadian Rockies are quite different than the American Rockies. More rugged looking, mostly, I guess, because of the tree line stopping a fair ways from the tops of the mountains and just glaring granite staring down on you. Makes you realise how insignificant you really are.

Then, do the Banff, Lake Louise and Jasper route. It is rightly called on of the 7 Great Road trips in the world. Absolutely stupefying.

T-top Camaros are made for this!

PS Did you know your American dollar is worth about $1.50 Canadian? THAT makes for a great vacation!

Actually, my 86 Camaro has only been in Canada 3 or 4 times (and I bought it new), but I've been there many more. Only BC though. I would love to make a trek like that someday. Maybe after I get rich and retire, hehe.
