? on Rare 85 California Special IROC
I just recently heard about a California special IROC that was availaible in 85, I think. Only about 500 were made and came in black or red. IT HAD NO HOOD LOUVERES, NO REAR SPOILER, ETC. Basically, an IROC in disguise.
Can anybody shed any more light on the California Special IROCS or does anybody have any literature or pics of some?
Thanks!!!
Manny

Manny,
I happen to know a guy who owns one. His name is Dave Sauro and he posts regularly at:

He is the original owner of a California IROC-Z. You are right. The car is an RS clone (two years before the RS was introduced). It does not have hood louvers nor a rear spoiler. If you still can't get a hold of Dave at IROC-Zpost.com, I have some pics of his car I can post.

Try this link. The car is on several sites, but this one has a little information/history, and a copy of the window sticker. See RPO "1C5", California Promotional Package. Also note the B4Z, IROC-Z RPO
