When Did the WS6 Trans Am first apear? What Does the WS6 include?
I have a 1992 WS6 Trans AM, it handles greate and I see it has the WS6 caps on the wheels.
I've been wondering about the history of the WS6.
What does it mean (WS6)? Does it stand for something?
What did it include in 1992?
When did it start to be offerd on the Trans Am? I don't remeber seeing that designation on the 2nd gen cars.
Is there anything that could be done to improve on it?

WS6 is just the option code that Pontiac used to designate this option. In 1992 it was simply upgraded suspension, bigger sway bar, etc. Sorry that's all I can answer....

Car: 82 T/A WS7
Engine: Pontiac 400
Transmission: Muncie 4-speed
Hobie, bigger sway bars, stiffer shocks, close ratio steering box, rear disk brakes, and depending on the year bigger tires. That's for third gens.
WS6 is an RPO code and stands for nothing.
I show it in an RPO book as 1976 being the first year designated for that RPO, not nessesarily the first year it was really used.
