motor blueprints
Maybe one of you people can help me out here
I am on the never ending search for blueprints of my motor. I am currently awaiting a reply from GM, but I doubt they'll just hand over somthing like that. If anyone has a copy, please help a girl out. Either that or tell me where I can get 'em.
Motor is as follows-
its a 92 rs coupe
305 tbi
ac
auto tranny w/auto overdrive
v8
thanks

You're right, GM isn't in the habit of giving away that sort of thing...
What are you trying to find out? If there's some specific thing you want to know about, ask it and somebody might be able to come up with the answer.

the reason I want blueprints is because I am
giving the motor a face lift. Hoses, wiring,
calve covers etc. and if I have blueprints,
I can color-code everything BEFORE spending $. Its easier to know what's done right in front of me rather than having to look under the hood all the time. thanks

I have no clue where to get that sort of info. That's one of the weak points in the literature in general. Some of the books like the Chilton's for specific models that you can get at places like Auto Zone, have electrical schematics. Vacuum lines may be on a sticker under the hood. People are constantly asking for that sort of thing, and they rarely manage to find it.
I'd suggest labelling everything, putting groups of things in little plastic bags with descriptive labels (like "valve cover bolts"), etc. Take lots of pictures with a digital camera, take notes, draw diagrams. If you get stuck on something, post on the General Tech board with specific questions, and usually somebody has one of the same kind of car and can go look at it.
