92 Trans AM Convertible Yellow Black- Rare ??

Hey , my second attempt at this site !!
I own a 92 yellow trans am convertible black top and leather 305 TPI auto and all creature comforts including CD and air . It has 44K on it and is mint and completely stock . Stored all winters and bad weather . I know it is rare but I am getting the feeling it is very rare and I wish to sell it . How rare and how much ??
Can you help ??

About 3 years ago a local used car dealer here in Wisconsin had a yellow '92 Trans Am convertible, It was a 305 TPI/Auto, at the time I called Pontiac's customer assistance line and I think they said in that color it was 1 of 34 built. The car as it turned out, was totaled in a east coast state and sold by the rip-off artists at this local used car dealer that was famous for selling warmed over wrecks. The car was eventually sold and about a year later the car was up for sale again, with quite a bit od damage, but fixable, nice car too bad it led a hard life. Chris

Our third-gens aren't really highly collectible. Wealthy car buffs aren't clamoring over them inspecting for matching casting numbers and checking out the car's pedigree.

More often than not, buyers of our cars are budget minded people looking to get something sporty they can afford. Since they're looking for affordability, I doubt very much they'd be kicking in an extra $1000.00 to get a yellow car.

Perhaps in 10+ more years, when third-gens become rarer, the color might make a difference, but right now, I don't think so.

You can try determine a fair price in your area for your car then add 500 to 1000 to the asking price and tell people because it's yellow.. You might just get what you're asking.

Well, in my area 3rd gen 'Bird convertibles are VERY rare and demand premiums...I just saw a '92 base 'Bird 305 TBI with 90k go for $7,500.

I dare say your car will go for more than that As for 3rd gens not being collectible, I've already seen some earlier 3rd gens ('82 Indy Pace Car Z28s, '83 L69s, '85 IROC TPIs) commanding premiums in local auto traders. I'm sure you'd be surprised what you can get for a '92 T/A convertible as well!! Just don't ask me for an exact number!!

Any yellow Firebird is rare . If I ever saw a 92 Yellow 5.7/ G92 GTA for sale I would definately pay a premium . Iv'e never seen one in person so the chances of ever getting one are slim to none

I own a 92 TA Conv T-5 305TPI- I bought it in Alemeda CA, 1996 for 15,9 which was blue book at the time. Rare it is - collectible it is not (yet?). I look it up on NADAguides.com national automobile dealers assoc. and the only Firebirds listed as collectible are the ones with special drivetrains like the Firehawks, Turbo TAs and Pace cars - I guess the rare skin color doesn't matter unless its on a factory Hot Rod or something

For cost I'd say Blue book and the color option is prolly worth what the buyer is willing to pay.

what I kinda hate is that I can be parked at a cheese factory in the Bronx or whorehouse in Arizona and anyone I've known since 1996 would immediately know its me
