1982 Recaro Edition Trans Am

Hi, I have 2 questions:
First, I have a showroom condition 82 Trans Am Recaro Edition, but it doesn't have the correct wheels. It has the gold-trim aluminum 15" wheels that don't take hubcaps. I'm trying to locate a set of these wheels: http://kizz.org/recaro.jpg Those do take a hubcap, commonly associated with "Knight Rider", except these are painted gold. If anyone has these or can get them, please let me know so I can complete this car.
Second, I'm looking for any and all info on the 1982 Recaros, too. I already know all the basics, like the special door handles, special interior, limited to 2000, etc. In fact I have a whole website dedicated to these cars: http://kizz.org/dreamcar/
If you have any additional info not listed or generally known, please let me know.
Also I'm selling my semi-rare '83 Firebird S/E on ebay, item 484724308 ending november 9 if anyone is interested.
Thanks.

I saw a set of those "bowling ball" rims on eBay last night, but they didn't have any covers on them.....

If you're interested, type in "trans am" and you should be able to find them. The price was very reasonable.....

You'll be lucky to find them in any color. I really wouldn't get too picky if I were you. Even if you find them in gold, you'll probably need to refinish them anyway. That being the case, why limit yourself? If you can get the ones on Ebay for the right price, buy them with the intentions of restoring/refinishing them in the proper gold color.

I already have a set of the silver ones. I don't know anything about refinishing or restoring them though. They came in silver and gold, and I wouldn't have any idea how to make silver ones look gold. I assume a wheel specialist would have to do it, but I'm just skeptical that they will look new again. I had a chance to buy the car I've always wanted, with these gold wheels, but due to dealership incompetence, it went to someone else at the last minute.. they put it on ebay after they had told me it was mine!! go here to see it. http://cgi.ebay.com/aw-cgi/eBayISAPI...item=475478782 Anyway, these gold wheels are Hollander part 1287. If you have any advice or information on the refinishing / restoring process, let me know.

Hi there , they made two set of those wheels , a 14" and a 15" your look like the corredct wheels , you just need to find the 15" hub cap , the fins should have a notch on them a couple of inches from the edge , and for the color it's just a matter of painting them once you do find the one if those are not the correct ones on your car. , They all came bare and were painted if need be
