So just what is "Option Package 04" on a Camaro?

Well, starting in 1987 GM starting grouping their options. Option level 4 was always the highest, all available options for a particular model. However, not all models had 4 option levels. In 1987 the sport coupe and berlinetta had 4 option levels. The Z28 and Iroc-z, 3 option levels. 1988 and beyond were similar, but there was more flexability in that you could pick and chose your options or order the option group. In 1987 you got the option group and that was it.

The option groups were mainly power options, floor mats, tilt wheel, cruise, etc. Not drive train, AC, or radios.
