You couldn't in 90-92, but in 87-89 it was available. In 90-92 the only cars that t-tops were only available that had a 350 were in the Formula 350's

From what I was told is that gm told the dealers to try and not offer them like that. Do to the added stress on the frame from the 350. They wanted to be more safe then sorry, if they had to recall them. But if you complained enough they would give it to you or if you knew a dealer that was loose with the rules. Adam :-)

Car: 2016 Camaro SS + ???
Nah, there's tons of 'em. Not even remotely rare. If GM told dealers to not sell them, no one listened. I think it's only an urban legend. I've heard multiple different unnofficial policies about trying "not" to sell 350 T-tops.

I really didn't care if t- tops are rare with the l98. I'm just glad I have them again. You don't relize how much you miss them till you don't have them. The one thing I find wierd with this car tough, is even with it pretty much being fully loaded. I still don't have a bloody rear window defroster! lol. I mean come on. Even the bare bone cars have it. lol. I do know thats one thing thats going to be added to this car. Adam :-)

P.S. So know one knows what the heck the RPO code P2P is.

Actually for the Firebird line the T-tops and a 350 was not available according to the dealer order sheet in 1987. As it clearly states CC1 - not availalbe with B2L option etc... The last year that this was not the case was in 1989 for FIREBIRDS... I can't imagine Camaro being much different... But they did give the Formula 350 T-tops in late 91 and in 1992 and nothing else, so apparently they had something in mind.

I know there are a few Firebirds with 350's & t-tops in 87 & 88, but not many. Seems to be alot more Camaros out there.

as for your P2P rpo,. I did a search and came up with nothing... P20 is something to do with hub caps. P?? seems to deal mostly with suspension, so P2P probably has soemthing to do with wheels, your center cap or suspension...

Maybe P2P is for the gold colored wheels. I was wondering what the heck I have P20 for. I have the 16" IROC rims. So why do I have a code for hubcaps.

I also have a question about these.
T93: How do I tell if I have the smoked or special lights.
E5Z: What exsactly dose this delete.

Adam :-)

E5Z doesn't really delete anything. It just designates the hardware for the speedometer. About the only time it would ever come up is ordering parts to repair the speedometer.

T93 is probably to designate the grid pattern taillights. Just a logical guess.

Colors are always two numbers and a letter or number from GM.

For example:
19Q - MOLDING COLOR (BLACK)
41U - PRIMARY COLOR, EXTERIOR, BLACK
62I - INTERIOR TRIM, LT SADDLE (I)
622 - TRIM COMBINATION, LEATHER, LT SADDLE (2)
88A - STRIPE COLOR, ACCENT,

The first 2 numbers indicate the color, for example 19 & 41 in this case are Black. I think in this case the 19 Black inticates a Plastic piece that the color is moulded into the plastic, not painted, and the 41 is the paint color. 19 is typically used for interior trim color

The U inticates paint Upper in the 41U, if there is no secondary number then the lower 41L is sometimes considered a given and not listed.

The stripe color is 88 Probably a silver color, I do not have it listed in my info.

Here is the standard designations for GM (the 3rd digit)
A= Body Accent Stripe
B= Cloth Interior Trim
C= Cloth Interior Trim
D= Cloth Interior Trim
E= Cloth Interior Trim
F= Covering Floor Mat, Color
G= Cloth Interior Trim
H= Cloth Interior Trim
I= Interior Trim
J= Cloth Interior Trim
K=
L= lower (Secondary) Paint
M=
N= Interior Trim Combination_
O=
P= Wheel Color
Q= Molding Color
R=
S=
T= T-Top Color
U= Upper (Primary) Paint
V= All Vinyl interior Trim
W= All Vinyl interior Trim
X=
Y= All Vinyl interior Trim
Z= All Vinyl interior Trim
1= Interior Trim
2= Leather with Articulating Seats
3= Leather
4= Leather
5= Leather
6= Leather
7=
8= Cloth Interior Trim
9= Seat Belt color
