Dash Emblem Collection

I have at least one copy of every dash emblem but one. I have the Cross Fire Injection, Tuned Port Injection, 5.0 Liter HO, IROC, Indy 500... Anybody know their emblems and tell me which one I need to complete my collection?

This one is probably my favorite and most rare. It's in mint condition and came with the origional box.

It's hard to see some of the ones in the back but could it be this one? I'm assuming you don't collect base Camaro or RS emblems.

Actually, I have never seen a yellow Iroc emblem, are you sure they exist. And I do have the RS 25th Anniversary, I just didn't show it with the Z28 stuff. Quite frankly, for every emblem that I have, I've passed up at least two or three waiting for the right price, and I've been outbid on ebay a lot. Do a search on ebay for z28 emblems, literally a ton of them, nobody with $10.00 in their pocket is going to be without their emblem, except for maybe the Indy500, that was $52.00 and the only one that I've seen for sale. I'm missing the Z28 25TH Anniversary emblem. I've been waiting for one and just purchased it for a fair price. I was once outbid for one and I had bid up to $80.00 Maybe I'll really **** CRRLLMICH off and post a picture of my rocker emblem collection

Kevin,

Are the emblems with Z28 above and IROC-Z below the same size as the emblems which simply say Z28?

No, the emblems that simply say Z28 are the same length, but the height is less because of the lack of script. A good example would be 82FirebirdTA's post of the yellow Z28 IROC emblem. Just imagine the simple Z28 emblems stopping where the IROC script begins.

i may be wrong about this.. but I believe there is a blue dash emblem to match the (rare) blue rocker panel emblems..

I know for certain I have seen one with my own eyes, however it may have been a custom

I would love to see a picture of a blue emblem. Anybody? My Camaro came with those blue emblems but the orange/red dash emblem. There were two blues that I know GM used, one lighter from 1982-84 and another from 1985-? Is this the blue color you mentioned Brisk?

NICE!! My collection of emblems comes from the salvage yard...basically because they give them to me; the same for owners manuals. They are no where near the quality (shape) that your collection is in. My favorite so far is the 1990 Turbo Grand Prix door badge that I saved before the car was crushed. Got the owners manual too, double score!!!

I don't know that the ZF would qualify for a Z28 collection. It's pretty cool and I would like to have it if it one came available but the posts all say its some dealer added emblem, so that means it 1 of ?. I do have a few of the small Camaro dash emblems and a handfull of Rocker emblems also.

I don't know how blue on the dash could have been stock. I have an 83 Z28 that i ordered from the factory in 1983. It is blue exterior with blue interior and I have the triple blues on the rockers but have a red on the dash. In 83 there was only 1 blue exterior color and only 1 blue interior color.

The blue dash emblem seems shady to me. I'd have to say they only had red ones. (yes besides yellow too.)

I just came across these but they were left out in the sun. I'll have to figure out how to straighten them out. If I can I'll make them available to members who need them. It would be at a very very minimal cost including shipping if anybody's interested.

All mine had cars that Ive owned attached to them at one time. Other than my 1990 IROC emblem. I traded a kid even for it because my car is yellow and his 90 IROC was red. He thought it would be better for both cars it we traded

He made the deal

Because we'll be selling them for $200 in five years when these cars really do turn into collectors.

This one set me back $80 about a year ago... but I guess it's the price you pay to have original badges on your car. Plus, try finding this one anywhere these days, much less for under $100.

I have a near mint (only because it was installed on the car) 92 RS 25th emblem that I have no use for. If anyone wants to buy it, or a trade would even be better let me know.

Yes, however they are not dash plaques. The emblems that just say "IROC-Z" are rocker panel emblems and rear bumper emblem.

I belive the cars that got the "Tuned Port Injection" Under the Z28 plaque were the Z28s that came with the 305 or 350TPI engine. If it was an IROC it just said IROC below the Z28 letters. Thats what Ive noticed. It might not be 100% accurate so dont quote me.

Well my 89 350 tpi and my uncles 89 players 305 tpi both have Red Z28 iroc z emblems. So i wonder if it was for 88 irocs because it was the first year for fuel injection?

Please anymore clarifacation on what cars got the tuned port injection dash embems would be greatly apreciated.

Speed, Actually 1982 was the first year for electrionic fuel injection in the F-body with the Crossfire Injected 305, And the first year for TPI 1985. Also my 88 IROCs that Ive owned and my 85, 86, and my current 87 all had Z28 emblems with IROC under them. BUT my 86 Z28 and my 87 Z28 both had 305 TPI engines and both had Z28 emblems with "Tuned Port Injection" below them. Most IROCs had Tuned port injection anyway. But alot more Z28s had LG4s and L69s than LB9s (305 TPI) or L98s (350 TPI). So thats what makes me belive that the Z28s with TPI got the "Z28 Tuned Port Injection" dash plaques. Hope that cleared some stuff up for you.
