82-84 T/A color combo questions

I just have a question about the factory color combinations offered on the 82-84 Trans Am's. Was it possible to get one in black with gold decals, but with grey interior? I personally have never seen one, but a friend of mine has an 84 TA that was originally black, and is equipped with the W62 aero package, but has light sand grey interior and Lear Siegler seats. The car has been repainted at some point in time so the GFX were also painted black. Ive never seen a black TA with silver decals...at least not an 82-84. But the tag on the core support clearly says 19L and 19U, so I know it was originally black. But I dont recall the codes for the GFX color or interior color. I just want to know if this color combination was available for those years.

Lets ask the dealer book...

Color-Keyed Model availability:

Exterior color: 19 Black.

Available interior colors: Camel Tan, Charcoal, Lt. Sand Gray.

Aero Molding color: Gold, Gold, Silver.

I do recall seeing a 1984 T/A, black , aero package in silver, with silver decals, when I lived in Texas.

No pictures, as this was back in the 80s, but I remember that it looked better this way, than with the gold.

Not very common, either!!

I would like to see a picture of this again, myself.

Thanks a bunch for the info. So basically, black with gold decals was out of the question with grey interior? Im also talking about non-W62 cars now. Lets just say a car identical to and 82 Recaro on the exterior, but with light sand grey interior. Has anyone ever seen anything like that at all? I have another 84 that Im looking to paint here very shortly, but I dont think id like the silver decals on a black car, especially with no GFX. The car has light sand grey interior, and am considering the gold decals instead. Or since silver was only available with W62, were the black/gold cars limited then to either tan or charcoal interior?

My answer above only applies to W62 cars. I can get the non-W62 combo's later today.

I think black non-W62 T/A's could only get charcoal or tan interiors, and gold exterior trim. Ill check when I get home.

So, IIRC, no black & gold w/ sand gray. Thats according to the Product Info Book I have.

As far as recaro's go, I've only seen them with the dark charcoal interior for '82. Also, '82 did NOT have a black interior as most people confuse it with dark charcoal.
