Since my T/A has serious frame damage I am starting to look for a new car.I really wanted a bird, but when I was looking around I found a 91 Z for sale at a dealer. It has the LB9 and it appears to be totally original. It has a clean Camel interior except for a rip in the driver seat. the are asking 2000 for it..It has 90k and no rust, and just some front end scratches and paint chips from the bra rubbing...do you think 2k is reasonable?

$2000 sounds like a pretty good deal on a '91 Z, but I would hold out for an L98 equiped car.

well sounds like a good deal, 2000 bucks for a rust free 90,000 mile 1991 Z is awsome. If it was a L98 that be awesome. But like kretos asked, is it a 5 speed or an auto? If its a 5 speed then buy it!

its a 5 speed...and I am not really worried about the L98, I have a totally rebuilt one from my T/A that I was planning on going carb with, but since this is a newer car, I think I am going to keep the TPI...and it wouldnt really have bothered me if it was an Auto, I am using a disk rear from a 4th gen, and I could probably get a tranny pretty easy. But hey since its a stick...

man, I would buy that car right now. I paid $5500.00 for mine...and it was in descent shape...but nothing like it is now...so..$2000 bucks for a 91 Z...with the 305...that's a steal in my book. Then again...There are only like four 91-92 Z28's in my area...very very very rare cars here.

Too bad you didn't grab it quick enough. I won't even tell you what I paid for mine, but substantially higher than the 2k. Mine did come fully modded with the Corvette L98 and 5 speed, so I think it was worth the extra cash...oh, and only 87k on the ride.
I think I am 1 of 2 1991 Z's in Ottawa. Not positive. The other is white, he is a member on the board as well.
2k? I don't think I would have walked away from that one...

All L98's were all automatics....the option of a 5 speed wasn't available. Did someone install the tranny/engine combo in your car?

Yes, the 5 speed was swapped in at the same time as the engine.
