GTA Emblems
I ordered a sailbird from David Clee and the folks at GTA Emblems. It turns out they are an official licensee of the GMSPO licensing program and produce replacement emblems for yeah... um, GTA's.
Well, I don't have a GTA, however I did think that a red/gold sailbird would go nicely on the front of my bird in order to set it apart.
I order the one I liked and then began a correspondence with David Clee who I assume manages distribution. It turns out that at the time of my order there was no more stock. These items are produced when there is enough demand apparently. In addition, these are hand painted and fired in batches of 50 (I guess). Anyway, I was told that it would take some time to deliver because of the conditions above and the item had to ship from Wollongong NSW Australia!
Cool. Imported.
Anyway, I recieved regular updates concerning the batch firing on a weekly basis. Please note that, in no way, did I want to misrepresent my car as a GTA. Here is the finished product:
I highly recommend this seller if you can swallow the initial cost of shipping.
