Free GM "vehicle package" with VIN number?
I remember reading about a "vehicle package" that GM will send you for free if you give them the VIN number of your car. It was a toll-free phone number or something. They'd send you information about your car, promotional items, and other stuff pertaining to your exact vehicle.
I can't seem to find the information and I was curious if somebody knew about this.

Would do you no good,It's only for 87 and newer cars.Anything pre-87 you will have to pay $35.

GOOD LUCK

I'll have to email Peggy and see what's all available. Ray, a friend of mine, sent me an email in regard to this; here's what he had to say:
Shoot an email to cac@chevrolet.com with the following info:
First and last name
Address
City, State, ZIP Code
Telephone number
Vehicle Identification Number
Current Mileage
They'll send you what's called a 'Restoration Packet'; it has
photocopies of a showroom brochure for that year along with all the
available options for the Camaro, including quite a few RPO codes (mine
were photocopies, but others may be different). I wouldn't have paid
for the info now that I know what's in the packet, but it's interesting
stuff for a freebie.
Here's the contact info for getting a copy of your car's factory
invoice:
GM Media Archive
(T) 313-665-5628
(F) 313-665-5694
I don't know what the (T) and the (F) are for, but they were in the
email response that I received from GM. The invoice is also free, and
it's probably something that I'd have paid for.
Finally, check out www.window-sticker.com for a reproduction window
sticker; I'm getting ready to order one of these

only gm division that charges 35 bucks in pontiac, the rest are free. and chevy goes back to 77 or 78. I got my packet less than a week after request and my invoice a month later. Nice knowing what my car sold for originally, 19K factory invoice sold for 16K at the dealer. *hugs 89 iroc*
