I was wandering who has the most third gen cars in there family? And what variations are they. I own a 89 firbird formula Ws6, sis n law owns 90 fire bird formula , father in law has 88 Iroc, brother n law has 86 iroc rs, uncle in law has 87 z28. What have you?

 

I know its not the most, but they are all mine, or I have owned them one time or another...

I was at my cousins house once... all 3 of my cousins (2 guys & 1 girl) all had 3rd gens... they took a picture of all our cars in the driveway together, but I never got a copy of the pic. Cars were:
My gray 88 Firebird
89 IROC, black
89 GTA, white
80s (not sure of exact year) Firebird, in purple pearl

That was certainly a cool picture!

 

my dad owns 10+ third gens in various conditions. But its for his company. I own a 89 iroc, selling a 87 sc, dad owned an 83 z28 cf

 

What kinda of company would this be?

I'm the only one in my family who ownes thirdgen f-bodys. I have:

1987 Camaro LT - current engine is a 305 TPI with a 700R4 automatic

1990 Camaro RS - current engine is a 350 TPI with a T5 manual

 

1991 Chevrolet Camaro RS 5.0 TBI (Bought it new and the car was totalled 10-11-1992)
1992 Pontiac Firebird Formula (Bought it used in 1996, sold it in 1997, bought it back in 2000)
1990 Chevrolet Camaro IROC-Z (Bought it from a board member in May 2004)

Waiting for my finances to allow me to buy a '91 or '92 Z28 5.7.

Brother ( 1992 Z28 Camaro 305 5 speed) (is gonna sell it)

Cousin ( 1990 L98 Iroc super modded , to bad it was wrecked )

We currently have 4 3rd gens and plan to add another one Well actually 2. My dad wants a 91-92 and my bro will be getting one once he starts driving. We have our own camaro meets

Also had an '82 that I sold and another '82 that got rearended May 25th.

 

i personally owned an 84 camaro - sold
89 camaro rs - wrecked, and now an 89 camaro iroc-z

 

It would be a salvage parts company and possible a car lot down the road. We got several smashed up Camaros we part out and sell the parts off of. We are gonna rebuild a few and save 1 or 2 other ones to rebuild down the road when these cars may be worth more.

 

I personally own at this point in time:

1991 Trans Am GTA LB9 AT

and I also have a 2000 Trans Am, and my dad has a 68 Bird, but they of course aren't Thirdgens and aren't as cool!

 

I have a 82 trans am(My 6th third gen). And a 94 trans am 25th anniversary.And my brother's got a 85 iroc z-28.

 

i have an 82 z28 with a 355 and a 81 bird

my father has an 89 TTA

thats it for f-bodies

also got a 69 vette convt. and a 69 opel GT

 

My family has 2 thirdgens and 1 first gen. I have an 1989 GTA 350tpi and my 85 Z28 305 tpi. My brother has a 68 Firebird.

Junkyards like that are simultaneously the most exciting and depressing things I've experienced lately: You see the wrecks of a lot of beautiful cars (depressing) but you wonder what you can rip out of them to put on your car (exciting!).

I explore junkyards once a month now.

 

Yeah it's sad, but to be around that many third gens is amazing. About half of them are parts cars though due to frame damage, like the white 92 z28 in the top picture.
