Thanks to the green party @#$%^&$#, my county is subject to emissions testing. My 86 trans am isnt very stock and im missing a lot of the emissions junk. I do have a diagram of the system. I know that i am missing the air pump and nothing is hooked up. I was wondering if anyone has a stock engine setup with all the emissions requirements for a 305 4bbl. It isnt a 305 in it, but emissions laws require all the equipment the came stock in the emissions system. And if so, does anybody have any pictures of the different parts of the system? The cars up for inspection and im between a rock and a hard place. Thanks.

where are u located at? are they doing a visual inspection of the emmisions system too or just the sniffer test? IF its jsut the sniffer, just put a good cat on there, make sure its tuned right and go pass the test. If there is also a visual inspection, well you may be able to take the gamble and bet on the fact that most inspectors dont know exactly what was on every car as far as emmisions controls go. Most of the time as long as you have a cat on there, they dont care about anything else if it can pass the sniffer. Good luck.

 

I live in eastern pennsylvania. The test done here is a visual to check for a cat and the engine emissions system, gas cap test, and for 95 and newer a obd test. It has a 350 with an 600cfm 4 bbl carb on it, no egr valve. I have the cat and several other air valves including the air tube from the cat. The evap canister is there but not connected.

 

I have a pair of the stock 305 exhaust mainifolds,the air tubes are missing, but if you need them let me know , i know, when i had them on a 350 they kinda smashed the the dipstick tube.
