I think it was some sort of factory roadside assistance program you could buy back then, included free towing if you brokedown, along with some other stuff.

If you bought your car new as I did in '88, VIP Plus included the roadside assistance and it also supposedly included special treatment at your selling dealer.... at least that's what I was told. I never found out; my dealer hacked me off six months into ownership over a bad attitude and shoddy workmanship, and I never returned.
There was a VIP packet that was included with the car that included the predelivery checklist and all the stuff like that.... all signed by the mechanic who "prepped" your new car. It was basically meant to be an "image enhancement" to the new car buying process.
I still have all the VIP Plus stuff on my red '88 GTA. Kinda neat from a documentation standpoint.... other years may have included different feature than what I received with my car.

Thanks Frankie. I have the roadside assistance card in my owners manual portfolio. Anything else that may have came along with it is gone. I still have a buisness card from my TAs original owner, I need to see if I can find him.
