Is my IROC a GEM???
All right...I was doing some research for my IROC because I'm considering selling her in the not-so-distant future. It turns out that, according to the Camaro Technical Database on f-body.org, I believe my IROC is one of only 28 produced with particular specs before the IROC series was discontinued in Dec of '89. These specs include a 350 c.i. 5.7L L98 engine with 9.3:1 comp. ratio, auto 4-speed tranny, TPI system, and a G92 performance package with 3.23 rear axle, AC, rear disc brakes, and performance exhaust system with dual cats. There also seems to be significance with "1LE B2L" with these specs, too. My question is...is my car one of those 28, thus making my car (can I say) RARE??? If so, it could TOTALLY change my decision about selling her. I would also like to know what other resources I could consult to confirm my questions...do I call a dealer? Thanks in advance!

If you have RPO 1LE it is most definetly rare and valuable. (of course depending on condition and miles)

The 1LE was the rarest and highest performance third gen sold. in 1990, there were 62 made. there is decent demand for those cars.

RED FLAG:
A/C - If it has A/C its not a 1LE AFAIK.
Overall though, you do have a pretty rare IROC. 1990 only had like 5000 or so IROCs... Your combo was a pretty high combo level...

take a gander at your RPO sheet, is 1LE present?
regardless, 1990 IROC-Z's are essentially the rarest and in most/many cases the most desireable of the 6 years they were produced.

Buy yourself a 1-300$ car and DONT SELL THE IROC! Do the conversion while driving that cheapo car around, while doing the conversion you can drop the insurance on that car and insure the cheap little peice of ****.

Hey, NJITIROC!
I AM selling my IROC. She's a solid car...needs a little body work, and she's got 123,000 miles on her. Any more interest?

I thought that 1LE cars could have any option, even AC, if the dealer added it to make the car more appealing?
It may still be a 1LE!! We'd have to see the RPO sheet tho... and I wouldn't be surprised if it was missing

Naw...my IROC is not a 1LE. I've checked the RPO's with no success. It would have been quite a find seeing as how the dealer I bought it from got it at an auction, and it ended up sitting in the back of his lot!
