4 sp what? Auto or Manuals?

4 Sp autos came in 83 as an option & in 84 they became standard.

TH-C200 was a 3sp Auto that was used in 82 - 83
TH-700R4 is a 4sp auto with overdrive used from 83-92 in the 3rd gen.

4-speed manual was the base transmission for all 82's 4, 6, and 8 cylinder. In 83 the 5-speed was used on Berlinetta and Z28, but the 4-speed was used on the sport coupe.

So all manual 82's were 4-speeds and some 83's.
