yeah also in action jackson, there was a tojan, remember them? oh and if u watch the original "vanishing point" from the 70's, when the show the scene ofthe guy smashing into 2 bulldozers with his 70 challenger, after the crash the car that was wrecked was a 1st gen camaro, heck the 2 movies i am thinking of writing revolve around thrid gen birds, lol

The fellow who owned the car had his brains splattered all over the interior, so I'd imagine there are some pretty nasty fake blood stains!

Also, there was a 4thgen in the season finale a few weeks ago that was labeled an "IROC-Z" for some bizarre reason. Another 3rdgen can be seen on the street in season one when Christoper is walking into the bakery (and ends up wounding the employee).

/watches way too much HBO

was watching deleted scenes of Big Trouble In Little China on DVD. And they have a couple more scenes of the Trans Am. THere was one deleted scene that was horrible The Chinese guys were sitting in there Trans AM, and it was parked on a dock next to the ocean, and i guess they were drinking and smokin, the good OL Jack Burton with his Big Trucks plows the Trans am in the rear bumper and there goes the T/A flyin right into the ocean and sinks. Man no one respects these 3rd gens.. Even Movies..

I was flipping channels the other day and this movie was on that had a gorgeous dark metallic gun-metal gray IROC in a car chase in it... I think the movie had John Candy... Maybe Planes Trains and Automobiles... Anyone know what I'm talking about here? It was very very sweet... Almost enough to convince me to switch colors when it comes time for paint.

It's sad that an F-Body had to be disgraced by making an appearance in that piece of Commie propaganda garbage!

ok, its not a movie, and i dont think theres a 3rd gen, but still sweet none the less. Does anyone remember a couple years ago, and i think it still might run now sometimes, American Family or one of the insurance companys had a commercial basically to say "dont buy kids fast cars". Yea, the whole point of the commercial pissed me off, but about half way through they show a trashed runstang sittin on a flatbed, and then at the end they show a sweet shot of a black fourth gen bird get a little bent on a wet road and take off.

I remember that commercial. Pissed me off too.

In any case, I just want to say here, let's keep this with the thirdgens. This entire thread isn't exactly tech related to begin with, and a number of posts are starting to bring up second and fourth gens.

Anyway, there are two Camaros in Patriot Games during the highway scene when the wife's Porsche slams into the median. The next shot shows Harrison Ford in his Taurus and you see the back end of two Camaros in front of him.

Well, this isn't in the movie but....

My wife and I watched 13 Going on 30 with Jennifer Garner and in the Special Features on the DVD, they interview cast members about what their real life teenage years were like.

One of the minor characters showed a still photo of him beside his car in the mid-80's...

A 1984 Black and Gold T/A convertible (the ones converted by an aftermarket company). Car looked brand new in the photo. :hail:

In Enemy of the State one of the government agents chasing Will Smith drives a 3rd Gen Camaro . You see it when they're chasing him through the tunnel (amongst other places).

How about the movie "No mans land" with Charlie Sheen. They had bad guys chasing Sheen (930 turbo) with a blue Iroc-z. It was a good chase till the Iroc went upside down. Just thought I'd throw it at you.

I saw an episode of COPS the other day and 2 skinhead dudes and a chick were busted for sleeping in their RS while parked in a city park. Appeared to be an '89 or '90, grey and beat all to Hell.

There was another episode a while back where they found a body in the back of a 3rdgen Z28 that had been set on fire presumably to cover up a murder.

This can go on forever, but since it's not tech related, I need to close it down. It also doesn't speak for restoration. The only history mentioned is movie/TV history. Sorry guys.
