There was a TA in Top Gun.

Remember the bar scene where he sings to Kelly Mcgillis? In the beginning of the scene they show a distance shot of people walking through the front door, and there's a TA out front.

At least IIRC.

I don't know if I or anyone has mentioned this yet but Ponch on "CHiPs" owned a light blue '82-'84 Trans Am that appeared frequently in the show. Before that he had a 2nd gen T/A.

Not sure if anyone mentioned this yet. Red Z/28 with t-tops in Best Buy commercial. It's Really funny, about this guy who has a flashback to the 80's.

Watch the trailer for the new "godsend" movie. Its a gray sport coupe that kills their son. I got all pissed because they used a thirdgen camaro to kill a kid in a movie and my girlfriend called me crazy. She started going off saying it's just a car... I just covered my ears and started humming the chevy theme song "Like a rock" by Bob Seger.

in the movie "reindeer games" , i think that was the name of it. with ben aflack and charlize theron, and they have to rob a casino for these guys that have never done a robbery before.

well when ben gives this kid $100 to wear his clothes, the kid runs outside and jumps into a gray sport coupe or berlinetta and the thing doesn't start. the maro was only in the movie for like 3 sec.

There is an extremely rare '88 Yellow sport coupe convertible that can be seen, parked in a driveway, during the opening credits of the Tom Hanks movie, The Burbs. There were aproximatly 24 Camaro verts ever produced in that color. I know this because I have one of them. I have always wondered if it was my car in the Movie. When we bought the car (new) it had several hundred miles on it but was never titled. We took it with the miles because it was the only 5 speed car we could find after the dealer did a search of 6 states. the pic is NOT from the movie. It was taken in June of '88 when the car was 1 day old. We had the pinstripes on the upper fenders removed a couple hours before this pic was taken and the GFX were painted Yellow later the same day. (basically we did a Dealer stripe delete.)

"Richie" in Steven Kings "It" drives what appears (I say appears as it may be a 89) to be a 1988 IROC-Z Convertible. I drooled. But that movie still freaks me out.

Well they killed some more Camaros on Fear Factor tonight. Appeared to 90s model RS cars cause I saw the third brake light on the inside hatch glass.

Also on an episode of "Walker Texas Ranger" there was a car chase involving a 4thgen Firebird. At the end of the chase the bird drives into a lake. If you pay attention to the car when it goes into the water, you will notice that it somehow changed into a mid 80s bird.

It was just a pic that I found while surfing for camaro pics recently.I think that I remember that the Camaro hit something, got on 2 wheels and then got trashed or flipped.

92TRANSAMWS6 I saw that episode too and laughed when I saw that they switched it to a late 3rdgen firebird before going in the water. Those kind of shows were notorious for bad editing of scenes like that,

I have never seen anyone post about this movie, but I saw it like 4-5 months ago on Spike TV. It is one of those 80s Karate Movies, may be best of the best, or something like that. However, the main character in the start WORKS AT THE THIRDGEN PLANT!!! They show BRAND NEW Trans Ams (or GTAs, hard to tell) going down the assembly line!! I kid you not, they are BEAUTIFUL!

If anyone can remember those movies, basically the guy is invited to go compete for the US at the Olympics, he had a busted up shoulder, and was married. Anyone remember the name? It would be awesome to find it and get some screen shots...

I was just watching this movie with Jay Leno called Collision Course which came out in 1986.Anyway he was following this guy(Pat Morita-Karate Kid) and he parks his car across the street from a Chevy dealer. You can see parked in the showroom by the window a white/silver Z28-an 86 I assume.

Black Dog: The under-cover agent drives a sweet blue IROC with a full cage. It gets wrecked.

Shaft: The chick Shaft is protecting drives a '91-'92 RS. Her brothers roll around in a '82-'84 SC.

Exit Wounds: Sagal throws a dude through the rear hatch glass on a 3rdgen Camaro. There are 3rdgens in several Steven Sagal movies.

That '88 SC in Next of Kin had a beefy sounding engine!

I was thinking the same thing too... If you watch Black Dog, a movie that actually makes the Camaro look like a true performance car (IMO), the editting is HORRIBLE.

Look closely, in some scenes there is an 85-87 IROC and others, its an 88-90. Half of the scenes where its getting beat up by the Monte SS, it shows the car severely beaten up, and in the next, the car looks fine.

Its a shame that the movie making industry thinks the public is a bunch of idiots who don't won't recognize a diff.

I thought of the one in Day After Tomorow as I was reading the first page. Also in New York Minute, the new Olsen twin movie, there is 3rd gen Firebird parked on some street that they are walking down or accross.

Oh no kidding dude. I bought that movie when it came out on DVD. Notice the scene where the car is coming out of a huge pile of mud from like a 60 degree angle from a stand still? haha it MUST have been pulled out (at least looked like it). Worse editing i have ever seen in a movie.

BTW the movie was 1998

Yeah, Black Dog seems to be one of the movies that feature a Camaro about as much as any that come to mind. Gotta give them credit for making a movie with so much car/truck stunts though. I wish they hadn't been so destructive in the Camaro/Monte scenes, though. I prefer chases without all the smashing and bashing. The interior shot before they ramp the IROC shows it's a '90 and the seats (if I remember right) were custom cloth gray. No doubt more than one car was used though.

Also in the movie "Say anything" with John Cusack, theres a bright red Camaro or Firebord (cant tell ) in the backround when John Cusack is talkin to a girl at the Graduation Party.. I think its a Firebird becuase theres a guy in the movie that wanted his Firebird keys back because Jon Cusack took em
