that's your paint code. as to how it's deciphered, you'll have to go to a paint store and look it up if i remember right.

No you dont all you have to do is have "Camaros by numbers" or even if you have a firebird 'Firebird by the numbers"

WA-185555 U8774 19C

First of all the 185555 you have is should be a L8555. This indicates the lower body color of Black.

U8774 indicates the upper body color of Bright red.

19C is the trim code for Black Custom Cloth.

Does this help?

They did make Iroc Convertables back in 87. If you check out the RPO codes you should see B4Z thats the Iroc code.

The hood is a Iroc hood.

Based on your deciphering of the codes for him, you should know that no IROC-Z ever came with black lower body with a red upper. IROC-Zs were all 1 color. The hood is a replacement. It should have a flat hood on it. Looks like a nice car though. Has Willie talked to you about it yet.

Thank's for the reply Scott and Krazy, I thought these were Iroc specific. Would it have been possible to have ordered the car with this hood is what i was trying to determine, and no Willie has not talked to me as of yet.

The hood was specific to the Z28 and the IROC-Z. You could not order this hood on that car.

Willie is our site expert on Convertibles. Especially the rare 87s.

ALL IROC-Zs are monochromatic in color. Z28s were offered with 3 different colored GFX, silver, dark grey or gold. Silver was the most widely used. I don't think there were any other colors offered for the Z, but I could be wrong.
