here is another interior pic.......i am wondering if this interior trim and emblem is factory or done by some aftermarket company such as choo choo customs...i say this becouse i own 2 of these 84 sport coupes...the one in the pictures is my first,,,it was sold new in south carolina and the other is from new york......i have also seen a white 84 in a mall parking lot in atalata georgia....they all 3 have the same woodgrain dash,,,sunroof,,and emblems....my car pictured also has the fiberglass z28 hood that is functional and was a factory 305 auto with a posi disc brake rear....couild these have been done aftermarket like the 83 choo choo bandit trans ams????? i just find it hard to believe that all 3 of the cars ive seen this way (2 i own) all received the exact same custom interiors with the same emblems and same color woodgrain,and same type sunroofs.....i just dont think that 3 seperate individuals would have doen the interiors the exact same way.......any help would be greatly appreciated,,,thanks jack

doesnt look factory. never heard of a 3rd gen with the woodgrain interior... from the wheels and the interior, looks like someone was trying to re-live the late 60's

The woodgrain trim is aftermarket. Several companies marketed different types of woodgrains. These kits included the center console too but don't see it in your pic. They are still available thru Classic Industries for all generation Camaros.

The "ZF" emblem is also aftermarket. I've seen these before but do not know the origin.

I bought my Z28 new in 85 and it seems to me I remember getting a catalog about every 6 months with all of this stuff in it, the company must of had some affiliation with GM and that is how I got on their mailing list but none of it was factory. I am sure a lot of people bought it though.

thanks for the info guys........that makes sense that they could be from the same catalogue sold as a package deal,,i hadnt really thought about that.....and as for the console,,,my other car has that but the one pictured has never had it to my knowledge....it has been in the family for over 15 years...it was my first car in high school.....i put the chevrolet rallys on it but im going to switch to pro stars or rodlites when the new motor goes back in...... i king of like the woodgrain dash,,but the emblems look a bit on the cheap side.......i just hated to change it if it was something worth keeping original....i still hav ethe original 305 from this car...down to the smog equipment....but its just not thesame as driving it with the 400 small block in her....well thanks guys and if anyone else has see this please let me know...jack p.s. flirtin too bad you dont still have on eof those catalogues...id love to see it,,,lol..

search this board, i remember last summer reading about a ZF, and it was a factory thing and had a RPO, it was something to do with a apperance package, nothing more

They didn't put the rpo codes in the cars back in 84 if I remember correctly. I believe it started in 85. Build sheets can be just about anywhere. My dad found his for his 82 Pace Car under the passenger seat springs. Some cars don't even have them as the assembly line worker trashed 'em when he was done.

just found the build sheet for my 84 zf coupe.....it was all the way under the carpet on the drivers side.....in perfect shape,,looks like it was printed out yesterday........turns out the car is a radio delete car and that it was shipped from the factory straight to american sunroof corp......thats who did the additions....how odd is a radio delete car with a/c and tilt wheel?????

hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm....... my carpet is barely held down by anything in the 82 t/a,. console and seats and sillplates removed already and still have not found a buildsheet, and also rear carpet is all removed too,.
