Alot of people seem to think that they were all made in 1992, but they made a few in 1991... If I had the 15 grand I would do it.

Naaw, No Firehawk is worth 80K, not even #1
I think #1 sold for $24,000 a few years back, One at the Barrett Jackson Auction sold for $19,000 a few years back. I think $15,000 is a fair price. For 80,000, I will buy myself a Ferrari, and forget all you Firehawk guys... Any smart person with money would not pay 80K.

Let me know when a good Firehawk is for sale for a decent price please Ozkoz. This one is a race car and trashed, it looks ugly and abused, go look at transamgta and his photo gallery of the Hawks and you will see this ones pic on the bottom of the page, not worth 15K.
Also, the owners are greedy asking way too high prices even though they over paid we are not even noe being 13 years old and the car needing seals and all redone with the aging.
I saw 2 on vintage car for 39K each, way over priced, and I saw where he bought #3 for low 20K and now 39K ???
I have 2 mint '91 Formulas' a white and red, anyone who wants a pic, email me and I'll send you seome. Thanks! Andy

I think it might be a good one to restore tho, if its the race car one.
Back a few years ago there was a guy that worked for SLP that was selling one of the race car ones... I wonder if this is that car... He was asking 17,000 back then had an extra pair of the Ronal Wheels, but there was no interior or something. Never saw the car, I just spoke to Mike or Mark down in Troy MI about it.

I think its still equiped with all the Firehawk stuff, so it would be a good car to make into one of the cancelled numbers, (make a clone) I think I would paint it yellow Or make it into #28
It might have some collectability still because if it is the only existing Raceing Firehawk left then to someone it might have value.
Its like Ed Hamburgers Firehawk, I think he owns the pre-prototype (Pre #1) It too would have some value I would think.

No it is a Firehawk, but the race version stripped. I wrote to a few owners from the Firehawk.org site about possible selling of their '91 or '92 Hawk and got only 1 owner saying they would and he never wrote me back when I asked for the info on the car, miles and price. The same for Ed on car#1, I actually wrote him a few times and nothing. To me that is rude and the owner being a jerk. Come on, this is not an Exotic European sports car over 200k!
I might as well put in about 10k or more to swap engines, trans, suspensio and brakes and have my Formula converted to a 550 HP monster that would kill any Firehawk 0-60 or top speed at 200mph! The only nice owner was #24, the green by Bruce from Hawks and he is at 35k, again way too high for an aging 90's GM car.
I am a giant Formula fan, don't get me wrong. I have 2 '91's and have had a lot put into them to keep them up, but like Oz above says, for those prices my wife would get a Mercedes. Maybe something will happen or not in the future and I will get one, if not, I can modify my own. Andy

I think 92GTA's point was its not one of the numbered cars, IE: 1 thru 27
On top of those 25 cars I think it was 18 & 23 that were cancelled before production, there were 2 race cars, one has been crushed, and this might be the other one.
BTY, #1 had sold to a private person, I tried to buy it, but it was not in as good of shape as my 87 IMO when I looked at it with 14,000 miles on it.
There is a rumor that there is a "Pre-Firehawk" owned by Ed Hamburger, its his personal car. It was before the #1 Press car.

I have talked to this guy. It is one of 2 race cars created by SLP for racing back in 1992. This is the only survivor. The other car was destroyed in a crash.
This car is NOT part 25 91-92 car production counts. This car was started as a basic shell from the assembly line ("body in white"). In other words it was not a completed car when SLP started with it. It is built up as a Firehawk, but does not have any interior trim, no VIN, no wire harnes for head lights and Accessories. It would be very difficult to make it street legal, but would be a great "Vintage Race Car".
