How the Hell did you end up doing that??? Before you part it out, see if there is anyone out there willing to do a GTA Notch resto project, it would be a shame to see it get parted out it being a Rare and beautiful car!!

Maybe its just me, but I'm not too fond of the Notchbacks... Yeah, they're rare, but to me, they hurt the lines of the 3rdgen. Anyone else think so?

i find it retarded how people say these notchbacks are rare... 1/624 produced.
who gives a rats ***. that's because that year only 624 people wanted to order one with a notchback.
personally i couldn't care less for the notchback....
it's like people who think certain thirdgen colors are rare and make the car a collector's item... do you wonder why there were only a couple hundred brown camaros made? because nobody wanted to order them that color... doesn't make the fact that there are only a couple hundred produced rare...

1. Not frequent; seldom met with or occurring; unusual.
A couple hundred, regardless of the reason why, is "rare", today.
I do have to agree, even though I own a few, I prefer the regular 3rd gen F-body look over the Notchback look; it just doesn't look quite right as others mentioned.
While you may not "give a rat's ***", I'm sure many people (maybe not here) share that thought about your opinion, and others, on this subject. Even though I've got one, I don't mind if people don't like the looks of them, it's just one's opinion. It's not their car anyway. I do find it kind of entertaining how often they are ragged on.
As far as "who gives a rats ***", there are plenty of people. Those people are called car enthusiasts/collectors. I see regular 3rd gen f-bodys around here almost daily, just like Mustangs, though I've never seen another Notchback in my area and I'd imagine they're scarce in other areas. Despite the reason why they were low production, cars like that can have a chance of having more value down the road, obviously due to the fact you just don't see them often, or have the chance to pick one up anytime you'd like, say, like a 1992 Camaro
MichaelShaub, is your term "trashed" just talking about the headgaskets that you mentioned in your other thread a while ago? I'd agree with the others, I'd try to sell the car first before parting it out, Notchback or not. Though, I've seen a few original Notchback lids alone go for over 1k on ebay. There's one on there right now, might keep an eye on it to see what it brings, though it doesn't look like it's bringing in much, atleast not right now.

Well thats not all completely true. A lot of cars are bought off the lot and the dealers put out the more of the basic colors (i.e. red, black, white). Certain colors were only available certain year, like teal was only available in 91 on RSs and 92 on RSs and Zs. Look at the green/grey (I believe thats the name) colored cars they are super rare i dont know what years or year they were offered but its a pretty sweet looking color, I think most would agree.

Yeah, very few people wanted the Daytona Chargers too. Some Superbirds were stripped of the nose and wing and sold as regular road runners.
Usually rare cars end up being the ones that were tough sells way back when.

Just hope you dont regret parting that out instead of keeping it and fixing it or selling it to someone who would fix it 10 years from now. Because it is only gonna get more rare and is only gonna go up in price. Its a shame that you are parting it out. It I was not currently unemployed I would buy it off ya since you are super close to me.
