My thought...
Buy Tojan Vert
remove all tojan stuff
Make into Formula Vert
Paint Yellow and all would be perfect
It has a 305 TPI at least...
I like the extensive interior upgrades... woodgrain???

Those look even worse in person than they do in a pic.... :barf: I can't imagine what would motivate a person to do that to a perfectly good car. The Tojan (read the label on the car) kit is just a bunch of big bulbous-looking blobs all hanging uselessly off of places that don't matter in any kind of functional way; rather, it's anti-functional, as it merely adds dead weight and aero drag to the car, while adding no benefit and looking ugly :barf: It's too bad for the poor car. I hope the person that sodomized that car lost plenty of money on the whole deal.

Personally I do not mind the look of the TOJAN ( got it right this time ), but I like the looks of my formula much better... I guess if I owned it, the car might grow on me... Being a convertable is tempting tho... I couldn't afford it at any price at this point anyway...

I think the fact that this one is a vert. helps it. I think it looks better than the Tojan coupes do. I agree it is not the sharpest looking car in the world (and I probably would prefer a stock Formula)...but its pretty neat IMO.
I think it would be a real pain to restore this one back to stock though. Think about it, first it was made into a vert...and then the body kit was added, that is alot of work that you would have to undo to bring it back to stock. Not to mention that it was used as a Sony demo car, think about the wiring changes...
Their was a white 86 Tojan T/A coupe for sale in my area a while back, it had about 30k miles and they were asking 6,000. It was very clean but I would have rather spent 6,000 on a stock T/A

I agree that it's a nice looking car!
Most of you change the looks of your cars to be different, or just for what you think is a better looking car!
heck, you should thank guys like him who do these things!
Straman started doing the convertibles for the early thind gens! Since there was a demand, GM started doing convertibles too!
My take,
George

The vert tojans definatley look better than the coupe versions. The coupe version is hideous, but with the vert some of that hideousness is deleted. Not bad.

Ok thats just ugly, if you cant afford a Ferrari dont try to MAKE one! What a freakin waste of time and a good car! It isnt the worst you could do to a third gen but its following the same path. Oh well to each his own.

oh, and of course it has "corvette engine"
here is the link. if some one feels like changing the file type and size post the picture. I just don't feel like messing around with it that much just to post a picture of the thing
