I have a 1986 firebird and i am restoring this car, back to original state..I am looking for two items and have run out of patience in locating these parts, new or used..the two items i am looking for were optional pieces of equipment at the time the car came out..here are the pieces i am trying to locate..1) Amp/Sub-woofer.part number#16040752..this was located under right hand side(passenger side), under the dash, near the ECM puter..the push botton switch was located on the dash..right of steering wheel..2) Rear defogger timer relay part#10017711..this also located in same area as amp is..The rear defogger switch was made in Canada..I tried to locate by calling GM of canada and when i talked to these people..they were nasty about it and wouldnt help me..PLEASE HELP ME:hail:

 

I think the amp was discontinued in production in the late 80's, My guess is you will not be able to get them new... IF you have your old one, you might be able to repair it... Or if your lucky get one from a junkyard... I missed out on about 3 of them in the past few years, I wish I would hav esnagged them now that I know what they are...

no idea about the rear defog... I would not be surprised if there standard for GM cars for similar years... its probably like the windshield wiper/cruise control/turn signal lever...
