15th Anniversary Edition???
Hey folks,
I'm a newbie here and had a question. I bought an 84 Trans Am about 5 years ago from my brother in law who bought it from a dealership where the dealership owner ordered the car from the factory when new. I was told that this is a 15th Anniversary edition, but I'm not quite sure it is. The car only has 56,000 original miles on it and it's a weekend driver. The car has the cowl hood that has 305 H.O. on the sides of the cowl. The car is really in mint condition.
I don't have the VIN handy, but is there a way to tell if it's a 15th ann. edi. without running the VIN?
Attached is a link to the pic.

Sorry man thats not a 15th anniversiary edition, however I do believe that is a recaro edition which is still pretty good. The 15th anniversary editions are white with blue graphics, I know cause I have one :-)

I didn't think it was. When I bought the car, I didn't know anything about it other than it looked good. So, what's the Recaro? I'm not familiar with any of the packages.

Just like 82RECAROTA said. No, that is not a 15th T/A. 15th T/A's were white w/ blue trim. It is not a Recaro T/A either.
BTW. Is that really your car? It sure looks an awful lot like my friend Rons old 84 that he purchased new in 84. www.97transam.com

It is my car. I took a few pictures of it at my father's house to make a wallpaper for my computer.

Nope. Still having too much fun with it. Wife wouldn't mind much if it was sold, but oh well.
I'm in the process now of trying to clean up the engine. Took the smog pump off and gutted the cat, so I'm left now to do a little de-greasing/clean up work on the engine and compartment and a little surface rust repair to the breather.
