Weird...yes, rare (probably) not.
I have seen many T/A's w/ that base interior. The only thing that really strikes me as unusual for a T/A is that their is no map pocket. Also it appears to have the 82 style shifter (83's had a T handle) It is also suprising to see a base interior in an LU5 car. The door panels and seats are the standard base interior.
The nose has been replaced or repainted.

i am thinking also that it is a car that has a) given up its Recaro interior to a resto project, and had a base int fitted to make it sale / drivable, or B) its just another thirdgen with mix n match parts.
still looks quite tidy though, and worth the asking price all day long.

Their is no evidence that the car ever was a Recaro Trans Am.
No emblems, and no interior.
The paint scheme is the standard black and gold 83 T/A w/ optional hood bird decal.
The door panels and seats were the base interior for that car. The only things that I found odd are the shifter handle and no map pocket. I have never seen a T/A without a map pocket. Base cars came with the dash that is shown.

Thats what i meant the car has to be rare,Cause I have never seen a stripped option Lu5 crossfire trans am.And no map pocket from the factory

That car has the same interior as mine, the only differences are mine is blue and has the T-shifter. The door panels, seats, no dash pocket etc. are the way mine came from the factory as my dad is the original owner. Another thing that is weird about mine is that it was an early built 83 model and came with the 82 decal package, no louvered hood bird but the small one on the nose. Before someone thinks it is a stripper Trans Am it is a two window sticker car.

The large hood decal (like the car in question) was optional in 1983 and 1984 on "regular" T/A's.
It was standard on the 83 DT500 pace cars and 15th T/A's, and 84 Recaros (I am not sure about the 83 Recaros)

If it was a true base T/A it would have:
No power door locks
No power windows
No electric hatch release
No radio
No rear defrost
No A/C
No T-Tops
It has all those optional items for 1983.

As said, it just has the standard interior. Map pocket is optional.
As far as the shifter, if you enhance the picture, it shows that the top of the shifter is broken off and the bottom is taped together.
If you keep looking around you will see many weird combinations.

The door panels are different than mine those have to be the standard ones. My car does have the pocket on the dash though.
My car doesn't have T-tops, power windows, power locks or power hatch release, but has air conditioning and a rear defroster. I did have the black strobe decal added when I repainted it the original blue.
That is not a bad buy on that car though. I think the milage has to be 126000 miles though.
I noticed it has the optional wheels (RPO N-24). I have those on mine as well. I just looked at my window sticker that came with my car and it has the RPO B-20 Luxury Trim Group that consists of Luxury seats, fr and rr with cloth trim and deluxe seat belts for $299.00 and the map pocket with Luxury door panels.
