GTA production numbers
I'm looking at buying an 87 GTA and was wondering where I would find the production numbers for it. it needs work so i want to make sure if i buy it it is worth it.

Check out www.gtasourcepage.com They have by far the most extensive compilation of GTA info (including production numbers) I've ever found in one place. It's a really cool place to go if you're into the history and everything.

i also highly recommend frankys page...hes busted his *** for along time (and still does) putting that page together..and it shows...ive been registerd there for 3 years now

Thanks for the kind words there, everyone. Don't think that they aren't appreciated....
IMO, 1987 GTAs will always be worth something as the first year of that model. I don't have one currently, but I hope to someday. I have plans to hopefully "bookend" my '88 GTAs with an '87 and a '92 model.
The production numbers on The Source Page may be a bit confusing, as the totals for 1987 were not broken down between Trans Am and Trans Am GTA as in the later years. But they will give you some idea about the car's production figures.
Just look for RPOs that are particular to the GTA model....

Hey Frankie, are you ever going to do a little spotlight on your Gunmetal GTA? I love Gunmetal GTA's and I'd really like to see something about yours. Your sight is by far one of the most interesting third-gen sites around. Keep up the good work. (Sorry about kinda being off-topic).
