Recaro Clone Project

We just got the seats in today from the only other 85 I have seen equiped like my black one:

http://www.hawksthirdgenparts.com/in...l?v=1&pid=8342

My wife has an 85 HO that needs new seats (she has 89 seats in there now, wrong color)

It needed door panels so she put in some from a white 85 Recaro. Now with the seats the interior will be complete.

We decided to pick up these seats because you dont find them that often any more. They will need reapair but I know a guy who can do it.

So what do you think about this?

With only 1,667 or so HO's made in 85 (hers is a WS6 also) and with the addition of the Recaro interior we will have made a car that could be ordered that way but is not original.

This is what Im planning for a finished product.

Thats pretty cool. I love the color scheme on your wife's t/a. I had an opportunity to get a Daytona 500 T/A a while back. Had to pass cause I didn't have $1400 he was asking for it. The body needed some work but the interior was in very very good shape for its age.

I sat in the recaros and I did like them alot.

I like it!
I have a spare set of 15th Anniversary Trans Am seats, both front and back! Granted, they (the fronts) would need some panels done over, they are in pretty good shape!
The backs are in super shape!
I have the fronts right now installed in my girlfriend's 1974 Trans Am (455 auto car)! She loves them!!

There is a guy down here in my area, who has an 1986 Recaro Trans Am (yes, I know it's just an option, but it's what I call his car!) White, with the tan/grey interior and the rear louvers!
The car has been repainted, and new decals installed.

Just letting you know,

George

Looks like madmax is the high bidder on the ebay car

Just an option? heheh ok you got me there G but I can count 20 times more TTA's than Recaro Option ones hehehe. Waiting for another book from you and yes I have asked your publisher for color this time !

The white car shown was taken from autotrader, sorry no more pics of it.
