Here is a pretty nice looking 85 S/E. The door decals are pretty visible in these pics.

Thank you 83firebirdS/E for converting that picture and posting it for me. How did you do that by the way? Whenever I try the board rejects it... likely because it's too big. What program do you use to resize it?
I need to send a pic of the whole car to you (maybe I did already?) and have you post that too. The interior work is underway so appearance-wise, it's getting better every day. Looks naked without the seats and carpet! Brad

Thank you 83firebirdS/E, for resizing and posting the pic of my car. I appreciate it. I'll have to look into getting photoshop. I'm not sure what company makes it, but an internet search should solve that! You should see how the interior work is going! Brad

I used to own an 83 s/e that had the 305 w/quad.
I noticed a few differences about that car than any other base modle.
It was brown with gold striping at the bottom and it had the Bird emblems on the sail panels too. Mine were brown and gold.
The car had 4wheel disc brakes and posi rear.
It also had probably every power option available for that year:
power windows, locks, mirrors, cruise control and hatch release.
The sway bars on the car were way thicker than even my current 89 base model has.
Not knowing what I had, I replaced the rod knocking 305 with a 350 4bolt (slightly built)
I gave away the stock hood and replaced it with a maroon 88 GTA hood ( that I never got around to painting)
I replaced the tail lights with 86 trans am (checkerboard) style.
When i got the car it had the grey turbine 15" wheels.
I opted for some 16" (20 finger) convex style from a formula.
It would have been really sweet to restore the car, but the trans was starting to slip and then i blew the rear out. I pulled the tags and let the salvage guys haul it away
Now, 2 years later I am trying to start all over again with an 89 base model 305 tbi.
Wish me luck
