What suspension???

I have a 91 RS with the 305 tbi. It has the z28 rims and i was wondering what suspension came with my car. Is it the same as the z28s or different and if not is it a decent suspension?

Your car has RPO F41. F41 was the base suspension for a Z28. Its decent, still better than a lot of cars, but not as good as FE2.

1LE had nothing to do with suspension. 1LE was brakes, AC delete, aluminum drive shaft and one or two other things I can't think of.

I do believe that FE2 may be the same as WS6 on the Pontiac cars.

On the Pontiacs WS6 is the better suspension. It has sway bars and the better steering box. 2.25 turns lock to lock. On early third gen TA's it mandated the inclusion of 4 wheel disc brakes. However later on that was no longer the case. I don't know about other specifics other than the suspension felt stiffer than non-WS6 cars.

My '91 Vert has WS6 and FE2. Since WS6 is dubbed "Level III Suspension" in all the sales brochures, that pretty much indicates that FE2 is Level III, which is the same code used for the upgraded Z28 suspension. F41 is the "Level II" and is standard on Trans Am's and Z28's.
