87 Trans Am

Ok, as a rule I am just catching up on the easy pix before moving along to a whole new drawing... Here is my rendition of an 87 Trans Am, I really want it to be accurate... What do you think?

BTY, obviously this is the WS6 Version for 87...

Im not for certain but wasn't there a lower "fading" stripe that went around the bottom of the car....blending the gray f/x into the upper color?

You may have it on there but I can't really tell.

Looks awsome!

I do not have a stripe on there, 1985 & 86 for SURE had a stripe, I am not sure in 87 tho, the pics I have is of a black T/A that had a silver bottom, no stripe, and a Blue with Silver bottom with NO stripe.

Looking at that pic I need to lighten the GFX too..

Looks great. The only thing I noticed that was missing is the silver "Pontiac" lettering in the drivers side head light bezel.

I noticed that on the drawing, the rear bumper cover ground effects sort of flair out like the 91-92 Camaro's. But the 85-90 Trans Am's rear ground effects roll under the car. I'm not trying to nit pic because I sure as heck couldn't do better, but you did ask.

I thought that the 87's all had the crosslace wheels for Trans-AMs. At least mine did.

From 85-87 the WS6 Trans AM's got the same flat style wheel as the 87 Formula, in 1988 there were a few WS6 T/A's may have gotten the dished Formula wheel, but most (if not all) got the crosslaced "GTA" style rim in Black. I have seen one 88 T/A with the Formula style wheel, and he said he was the original owner, there may have been a shortage, but that is only speculation.

NOTE: only WS6 Firebirds got the 16" rims... all others got the 15" rim...
