Engine: 305 (LG4)
Transmission: 700R4
Paint Code
Sombody might have posted this already but I have not found it yet so i'll just ask. I have a '87 Sport Coupe and was wondering if anybody knows what paint code 74U stands for. I have tryed to do some reserch and haven't found any thing for my year all I found was the early 90's as Victory Red. any info would be great. thanks

the 74 = Flame red Metallic (firebirds) camaros might have a different name.
the U = Upper (primary) paint.
Usually all of the colors are 2 numbers and a letter or a number. the 2 numbers are the color, 19=Black and the third didget is the application. Its pretty universal for all of GM for a production year, although the color names may change.
Also keep in mind that sometimes GM would re-use a number. For example the #23 was a darker blue for 1987, but in 1988 ~ 1992 it was a light "Sky color" blue.
