86 z28 vs 86 Iroc Differences

Can anybody tell me the difference between the 86 z28 sport coupe and an 86 Iroc Z28? Besides the stickers on the door and the badge on the dash?

Thanks.

THis question comes up alot, a few things that come to mind are the IROC's came with the "wonderbar" steering brace, they sat 15mm lower than the Z28, special struts in the front and Billstein shocks in the back. 16" aluminum wheels with 245 50r 16 tires(Goodyear Gatorbacks), I think the sway bars were thicker. I believe the steering box is different due to the tires. Then of course there are the cosmetic differences that you are already aware of. DO a search on the subject and you might find a few things that I've missed.

16" wheels weren't available on Z28's (without the iroc-z option) until 91-92.

Ok Thanks! I was beginning to think that my wife's Iroc was a fake because when I looked the VIN up and just Z28 Sport Coupe. I checked it out last night and the numbers match and the wheel size on the door says 245/50 16. Also the dash emblem is Iroc-Z and it does have the wonderbar. I just wish it was the stock yellow still. Thanks again!

Trust me when I drive that pink iroc I hide under the steering wheel.. lol.. She can get all the winks from the guys she wants, but I don't want any!

I don't think so..... If you look at the driver side door and the light hits it just right, you can see where someone by the name of "Linda" had her name on it... It is in need of a paint job and my wife is insisting on it being painted pink again. She said it is the only one around like it, and I told her "For a good reason" .. lol.. We do get ALOT of comments on it around town.. Either people love it or they hate it.. no in between.. As for me, I like it because it is a 3rd gen tpi, but if I had my way it would be repainted stock yellow.

There was 3,915 yellow ones produced in 1986. That is a small amount compared to 20,815 black ones and 46,542 Bright Red.
