240 MPH Speedometer???

I have seen these in a few places before. My question is are they real or is this just some face someone put on a stock speedo. THANKS.

I can tell you for 100% positive it didn't come from GM like that.

BTW, why the HELL would need a 240mph speedo anyway 200mph I can see but a friggin 240mph, damn...

I am sure that this speedo is in kmh not in mph.

Yeah...I have one in my car--it's in KM--try to remember there is a country N.of you that is called Canada and trades 340 billion with you every year.
And the US is one of the last places on earth to use that silly imperial system

I often thought about taking my 240 KM/h and hooking up a 62% adapter, or changing the speedo gears, or making a "box" to change the pulses per mile accordingly. The you could take the KM/H and use it as MPH ...

I think Gale Banks made them in the early 80'S I remember a magazine story about them. I think it was HOT ROD or CAR CRAFT. IT was in a black camaro or T/A w/twin turbos i think hope this helps.It was in MPH that i know 4shure
