Assistance: Need Exterior & Interior/Material combo charts
Hello,
I'm looking for Interior & Exterior color combination charts for Camaro's (All Years). Looked in the collection of 32 brochures I have and only 1979 & 1981 have them.
http://www.camarosource.ca/new_site/...och_page10.jpg
I need them to indicate what interior colors were available for which exterior colors. As well as which years were available for these interior & exterior colors. Plus what interior type (leather, cloth, bucket seats) were available for which colors and which models allowed any of these types or colors.
http://www.camarosource.ca/new_site/...och_page10.jpg is EXACTLY what I need but need all 35 years worth of these table charts.
I've looked in all my books (13), and brochures (32) and only 2 brochures have them and neither books have them.
The brochures say to contact the sales person to find out available color/combinations which would mean there was a book, pamphlet, chart the dealership will looking at. I would like to obtain these, all 35 years..
I need some assistance as to who I can contact in obtaining these.
Thanks very much for all your time.

The color combinations were available in the restoration packets from Chevrolet. Jims85IROC is in the process of collecting all 3rd gen restoration packs. He might be someone you want to contact. His information will also be published online soon after he receives it, I'm sure. As for the other years, I would think that you could get that information from each of the generations specific enthusiast websites. I have seen this information on 2nd gen cars and also 1st gen, so I know it's out there. Good luck.
By the way, I also have the 94 and 96 brochures if you don't have them. I can scan the pages if needed, but I thought you already had them all.

Do you know where he is finding this information from? And regarding the 1st and 2nd gen Combo charts, could you please tell me where you are seeing these charts? Which websites?
In regards to the brochures, we have neither than 94 nor 96 brochures and so it would be very much appreciated if you could scan them.
You are welcome to ICQ me. 6705249, or MSN camaro92@telus.net if you wish to talk privately.
Thank you for your time.

I just replied to your PM, but I thought I'd answer here too. The Camaro White Book should have the information that you're looking for. It lists all available exterior colors (and quantities sold), and what interior colors were available with them. It lists this for all years of Camaro, through 1997 I believe.

Thank you for your email. Actually i'm looking for more depth information. I have this book and 12 others
Certain exterior colors were available with certain interior colors, and certain interior fabrics were available with certain combinations for each of these, as well as certain Camaro Models were available for certain ones of these.
The Camaro White book only lists the Exterior & Interior Colors and which Exterior were available with which Interior colors.. Very few list fabrics and neither list which Models were available with each combination. :-)

I grabbed my 89 restoration package and scanned this in. This info should be in all the packets. To read the chart, look at the car color, then select the rim color, check what boxes are X'd, look up at the top and see what color combo were available in cloth, custom cloth or leather. Example, the Dark Red Metallic car with gold rims was available in lt brown interior only in all 3 seat fabrics. It also tells the stripe combo.

How did you obtain the FULL years worth?

Each restoration package includes all the data for that particular year, not just your car specifically.
I had forgotten about that sheet that scott posted. I don't have a scanner, but after I get copies of the 85-90 restoration packages, I'll have most of that information available on the IROC Homepage.

They will send you only one and it's usually based on the year car that you have. I called them a few years ago and told them that I was buying an 89 IROC, so they sent me that one. I then called and said that I actually bought the 87 and they sent me one of those. The 87 is incomplete. It says the specific interior trim information is on page 26 and the the only interior page I received was page 23. Jim is collecting the packets from people like me that have all the different years. I see no sense in reproducing the wheel. Since both of you guys have excellent site info, maybe one site can reference the information on the other site after the data is collected.
I just looked at the 87 a little closer and it's not as cut 'n' dry as the 89, but the information is still there.
I also have access to the 82 and the 93 restoration packets.

I would be very interested in some info from the 82 & 93 packages that you have.

They are photocopies of the original doco. They have some info from the white book, some info from the brochures, the original ordering guides, decoding information, options available for each model and the price, including dealer invoice pricing, manufacturers specifications for the entire car, etc. The bundle is about 75 pages and is only photocopies of the original stuff. In the US, they are free. I don't know about Canada. Call Chevrolet's Customer Assistance line and ask for one.
What info is needed on the 82 and 93? Unfortunately, the 93 has blank pages when referencing the Pace Car.

So far, I've received 3 years "1970, 1971 & 1991" Thanks!
Course that leaves 32 years left. ;-)
Please, if you have these restoration packages (other than 70, 71, or 91), please do let me know.
Remember, you get your free Camarosource.ca Membership card when you do. :-)
Thanks again.

greart chart. I own a 89 iroc, bright red ext, black int according to this chart my decals are red? is this correct. the reason i am asking is my tuned port injection badge on my rear bumper is red and i would like to buy the tuned port decals under the rocker panel any help as to what colors to buy would be appreciated, thanks.

What color is your "iroc" door decal? That should be the color of all your badges. Most were silver....but quite a few got the gold (like me ), only a few cars got the red, and I think that red was only available with the black and white cars with red interior. Sorta like the gold was offered with the medium beechwood interior.
Bottom line, with red paint, you should be gold or silver.

Hmmm, I just re-read that chart a little closer, and yes, I do recal seeing the red decals on burgandy/dark red.
As for the red on red that is clearly mentioned there on the chart.....I'd almost have to think that's a misprint, although I have no documentation to back that up. Anyone know if they made red on red? Doesn't really make sense, does it?
As far as your badges are concerned, what colot do YOU want. Unless you are planning a 100% resto, it's really all up to you!
