1992 Z/28 1LE Heritage Package What would you pay?
I was out doing some F-body shopping when I ran into a 1992 1LE Hertage Package Z/28. The car is Artic White with Red stripes and a decent body. A few bubbles on the rear quarters and deck lid. Front GFX cracked in two places, clear peeling on the wheels. Its white and dirty so it looks even more dirty. Has a bra on the front, looks to be covering some cracks and missing paint. The tires will just pass inspection and the brakes look good. The exhaust looks old and the underside of the car has surface rust. The interior looks good, a little dirty but the headliner and drivers seat are still in nice shape. The car is powered by the LB( 305 with a 5-Speed. I checked the codes and every thing is on the tag. Z03, 1LE, G92. So What would you pay?

My jewel? Thats a hard question to answer. For me it would have to be a Camaro, my partner a Firebird. I like my 87 350 Iroc-Z with every option but power antenna alot, thats why I kept it for my project car but its being worked on so its not a jewel yet. I love them all so much that I can't even remove parts from our parts cars without feeling bad. We have a nice original paint red 86 Iroc-Z and a nice original paint red 86 Trans Am sitting out front for sale. They look niceside by side. What do you think?

Well isnt the IlE package just an aluminum drive shaft and no ac? You can get an aluminum drive shaft from Summit or Jeggs. But those cars are rare so it is up to you.

There's plenty more to a 1LE than just the driveshaft and no ac. And yes they are rare, I'd pay a little more for it just cause its a 1LE. They are desirable cars.

the 1le's came with the alumn. driveshaft, bigger brakes up front and special rear brakes, sway bars, no a/c, no power windows, no power door locks, no power hatch, no fog lights, and the tranny is tuned to the corvette spec's, and no rear defrosters, i think thats it.

So dosent that just mean that it is a camaro with no options and better brakes? I would take a regular 350 Z28 over it anyday. And i would just swap in an aluminum drive shaft from jeggs than beef up the tranny a little. That car is just gunna be strictly a track car not really a cruiser. I like cars you can drive as well as race!

well a 1le is a stock off the factor floor race car. and my friend has one and he goes to cruises and to the beach like 3 times with it and he still gets on it and the thing flys. even though he only has 5300 miles on it.
plus why would u just take a normal 350 car and beef up the tranny and spend 350 bucks for a alumn drive shaft and then spend alot more for new brakes. and the rear brakes for the 1le's have a special braket i guess u could call it or a mount i guess thats holding on the caliper and whatnot.

Well, Seeing how you can beef up your car and get that drive shaft for far less than an ILE and it is alot easier to do as compared to finding an ILE which are super rare. Yes if you found and ILE then you wouldnt have to spend the money to mod your car but it is gunna cost a hell of a lot more to get the that ILE than to mod you car see what i am saying??
